I just brought 120Gb SSD from ocuk : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-060-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1427

And it say here:
- Max Read: up to 285MB/s
- Max Write: up to 275MB/s
- Sustained Write: up to 250MB/s

I had set up the bios as following:

ICH Sata Control Mode: Ahci
Sata Port 0-3 Native Mode: Enabled
Onboard Sata / Ide Device: Enabled
Onboard Sata / Ide Ctrl Mode: Ahci

Installed Windows 7, then Install Intel Chipset (latest version) then Install Graphic Driver (latest version) and reboot pc and installed windows updates and off I go. Try AS SSD benchmark as I was shocked can't believe how slow is this SSD is reading as below:

The read is only getting 169.10 mb/s (where the 280 mb/s target ?)

Disappointed :(

It says you have firmware 1.22, is that correct? I thought the latest firmware was 1.11. What am I missing?

Bought my OCZ vertex 2E and installed it today. All seems good, ATTO benched higher than CrystalDiskMark

Gah, for the 1000th time, Sandforce controllers such as are used by the Vertex2 range, use real time compression before writing data to boost speeds.
The AS-SSD benchmark uses Random data. This cannot be compressed easily and so the benchmark demonstrates worst case performance.
The ATTO benchmark uses a simple data pattern which is easily compressed. This means that much less data needs to be physically written or read from the NAND chips and so we see the best case performance.
Real world performance obviously depends on what you are working with, but will be somewhere in the middle.

Can we make sure this is stickied in the FAQ?

+1 for the sticky. Clears some things up. Wonder if it's worth putting rst drivers on or just leave it as it is. seem fine. Windows 7 scored it at 7.8

I had installed RST, still no difference, the speed I getting is 240Mb/s read and 180Mb/s.

Maybe it worth to get another same ocz 120gb SSD and put 2 x 120gb in RAID0 for a maximum performance ?

Getting 7.6 in windows index score for hard disk

Your speeds on atto are only a bit off and thats probaly due to all the benching your doing. just leave you pc on for a few nights to allow trim to work then check again with ATTO.

p.s + 1,000,000 for sticky
