My OCZ Vector SSD 256GB has failed, sent it back to OCZ and they are replacing it with a new one and its on its way to me.

Now the question is, do I sell it and buy a better drive?

Reasons for this logic is that the drive actually sells for around £160 on egay however newer drives that are out now like this one

arn't much more expensive and double the storage. Is the drive above better than the replacement one on its way to me in terms of performance?

How on earth did you manage to send it back to OCZ?

They've been in administration for ages!

If you've managed to get some warranty information out of Toshiba, any chance you could enlighten me on it?

I've tried to get something out of them and basically got told where to go :(

Got a Vertex 4 replaced not that long ago. Took ages to process the RMA! First it went down south somewhere. Then it got sent over to Holland for testing and subsequent replacement. Though got a brand new later model drive as a replacement. Sold it in MM and bought a Samsung EVO to replace it.

PS. Got to admit, that I'm amazed that Toshiba kept the OCZ brand name and this is from someone that has bought a number of OCZ SSD's over the years and until recently still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. But after having three Vertex 4's fail in a row, even I gave up on them

How could OCZ release something that failed so much? I wonder if they knew they were going to go bankrupt so released lots of rubbishy products to cash in quick? If you can get £60 for it sell it and buy a better make otherwise I guess keep it till it breaks.
