I have just bought a ASUS P8P67-M, i7-2600 and a OCZ Vertex 2 SDD. According to the serial no it's one that is Sandforce based.
This is my first SDD so I have done a bit of reading on the install, but just want to check that I have everything covered. I think I have to do the following:
1. With the SDD plugged in enter the Bios and pick AHCI.
2. Using W7 64 bit, so I assume this will select trim on install?
3. Once I boot up in windows do i then update firmware. I think the latest version is 1.29.
4. Am I best installing the latest RST drivers at this stage? I notice on the download site there is a version 10.1.0.1008,but this says its for a F6 install. Can this be installed once booted up or do I need a different driver for that?
5. I then disable indexing, superfetch, defrag
Have I got this right, anything else to consider?
