OCZ Vertex stopped working

Im gutted not had it many months and its just died, just wont detect in the bios at all anymore. Had to stick an old 1tb hdd in and its so slow.
Hopefully ocz rma service is speedy.

What firmware did you run it with?...did you have no warning at all before the SSD failed?

I just came to switch my pc on and it hung at the bios screen at "Detecting devices on SATA 0"
I have never had a hdd of any kind fail and now this doesnt make me feel well for SSDs.

... and then if that doesnt work, try using a SATA cable that you know works (ie, your current hard drives one)

No need to try it else where, it just stopped working with no changes, and then the new hdd works fine all cables and sata sockets the same.
