I don't know anything about Linux but are you sure it supports the ACPI setting you have? What is this set to in the BIOS?

You are however dual booting and I know a bit about windows.
It sounds like you can get into the OS, you want to stop the rig automatically restarting when it BSOD's! This easily lets you see what the error code is. As it seems to be a constantly reoccuring fault you shouldn't have to wait too long for it to BSOD. Post that error code and that gives us a starting point
