Odd cold call

Had a call from some dude who reckoned they would like me to go to their office to discuss fincancial matters, especially taxation - to discuss "ideas" on how I could get my tax bill down, despite me being on PAYE.

I thought this was extremely odd... Being quite cynical I politely declined. Has anyone heard of this sort of thing? Apparently they don't charge a fee for this (commission I guess).

Couldn't recall the address but it was around Eastcheap way.

I did ask this and they said "public records" and "several clients" at my workplace - but the fact that they rang my work switchboard and knew I worked here freaked me out a bit. Unless it's some agency selling info or someone misusing LinkedIn?

Wouldn't deal with anyone tracking me down in that manner anyhow tbh.
