Odd FPS

i know what u mean OP but as none of these people have played any cod game competitivly they WONT understand xD

the way the cod engine works is 125 / 250 fps constant makes the gane run optimally, its to do with the engine. if you can get 250 fps constant cap it at that. if not they cap at 125.

its like any competitive game, for example css. i cap my fps to 100 as it very rarely drops below. the reasons being if i drop from 240 fps to 90. its a noticable big drop. whereas if i drop from 100 to 90 that aint exactly a big drop so will be less noticable.

COD4 is the same. 125 / 250
COD2 = 125 / 250

to OP= try overclocking that CPU if its possible that should help

try adding these commands (makes the game look worse but youll get the fps)

Thanks a lot for the help mate, yeah tried overclocking my CPU, currently reading up on how to do it. And I got a few of those commands but some I don't so I'll put them on, thanks ;)

nws mate need any more help gimme a shout :)

You lowered the settings just to get 125fps?

That motion in itself is low, man!

omglame 80fps sux wtf.. i canz be pro now? :rolleyes:

Really if you're looking more at your fps meter than the actual game, then I doubt you'll be enjoying it very much. Just enjoy the silky smooth gameplay of >60 fps and kill some Axis :p

he's trying to use the engine bugs at 125 fps ;)

Game seems screwed anyway

I'm running it 1680x1050 on Extra + 4xAA on a AMD Phenom x 2 @ 3.1 (not oc'ed), ATI 4770 512MB (OC'ed to max) 4gb DDR2 @ 1066MHz.

I can play sometimes with the game being smooth as a whistle then i get a game every say 2 match's or depending on the map were my game stutters every minute or so, I have no idea how to fix it.

Its nothing overheating because every other game works fine with no fps issues

Can a human user even detect a difference between 250 and 90 FPS? Surely if your monitor is refreshing at 60hz, any FPS above 60 is redundant?
