Odd Gmail problem, email resends itself every day

This isn't hardware related but I couldn't find a better subforum

I sent an email with a pic attachment to someone a couple of weeks ago and they keep receiving it everyday, even if they delete it or read it, they get a new copy of it every day. Have you guys ever come across this before? I don't even know where to start The recipient is getting annoyed
