odd music file problem

Hi all, I have just put all my girlfriends music onto my PC with the help of Iexplorer, but now the file names are just a short mixture of letters (see pic)

How do I get the names back? I did read somewhere about ID tags? but I am unsure what to do.

Any help would be great

You need to use a program that renames based on ID3 tags. I believe Mp3Tag will do that on windows, or alternatively, iTunes may do it if you use consolidate library.

Ah brill, thank you, that has worked 100%, why does apple make it so hard for the average user.

Because they don't want you taking music off your device back onto the machine.

There would be nothing stopping you taking that music and putting it onto another device.. "Music digital copyright in action".
