Odd one with WoW

so stupid question time,

why the heck we getting a background patch for something thats only just been released on the test realm?

surely the code will change lol, bandwidth wasters!!

Im guessing the data you are downloading is data Blizzard are sure will be in the patch. Some things will change, but I doubt that much will. I guess the whole point of it is so that it saves having to release big files on patch day, meaning people can spend as little time as possible updating, then get back to playing WoW. In a sense it's to keep people happy so that they don't whine when they can't play when the patch is released because downloading it is taking too long.

i like this the best tho

its very anoyin when a dc happens and it takes a while to get back on its even worse in BWl when you get BA from vael and a person who has it dc's so they blow up and take the raid with them /cry

Absolutely. once I installed it I quit fretting about it, its great.

I agree entirely, I don't get DC'd often but when I do its seriously annoying having to wait a couple of minutes to get back in.

the graphic optimisations also look promising

Absolutely, that has to be the single best part of the new patch. Better than Naxx itself I say

Waiting for your character to go offline is just about the most annoying thing ever. Grrr. Thank god their fixing that!
