Odd results on a dual raptor raid0 bench

Im informed by a mate that you lot here are the knowledge in matters of the PC.

I benched my raptor 36gb raid0 setup with the latest Sandra and it gives decent results except for a severe dip in performance at 40% into the drive.

I defragged, moved the pagefile to another physical disc, still the same results. Anyone got any suggestions?

Is this a repeatable issue? I.e. if you run the benchmark again is the dip always in the same place?

My initial guess is if the problem is repeatable then there's an issue with one of the disks. Now normally the Maxtor diagnostics would be the first port of call but they wont recognise the disks while they're in the array and you can't take them out of the array without losing all the data.

To be honest the fact that it's only a 20% drop across 15% of the array to me isn't really worth the hassle of backing everything up, breaking the array, checking the drives (which of course may not reveal anything!) and then reinstalling everything.
