Hi,

I've an odd issue with my S5.

I took it out to use it and it was asking for my alternative password, as I always use the fingerprint scanner I had no idea what it was but after a quick google found the android device manager (adm).

I reset my password with ADM, logged in and checked my settings. It's set to use password to login and the fingerprint was still saved. Created another fingerprint on my other hand, set it to use fingerprints and locked it.

Unlocked and its asking for the alternative password again. However, it wouldn't accept it and I've to reset it again with ADM. Tried again in case I missed something and the same thing happened again.

Set unlock screen to swipe and it works.

Set it to swipe and a message popped up saying i'd tried logging in too many times and to enter my gmail address + password. Which it doesn't recognise. So having to use ADM again to reset the password.

any ideas what is going on because I am about ready to launch it through the patio doors :(
