Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone buys tipple from Oddbins around London area?

Would you recommend it? Heard they have a great range of craft ales/beers now a days.

?? its an off licence wine merchant whats not to recommend ??

Have you tried Tesco??

Oddbins has been through a number of iterations over the last decade or so and have been through administration and other troubled times. Have heard better things of the most recent incarnation and their offering but seeing as my local one was closed I haven't been into any to look for myself. It's mainly London focused now I think.

London Bridge branch has a fantastic selection of local craft beers. Kernel, Pressure Drop, East London Brewing and a few others.

I find Oddbins really good, and they are extremely welcoming. Often have a few bottles open as well which they are happy to let you taste. There are better shops in Glasgow for beer but for wine I'm quite a fan.

Ah interesting. I'll have to check it out. Theres an independant wine shop in Chorlton i always drive past but not been in yet. Looks good from the outside though.

If you're around Chorlton, my mate told me of a new beer shop just opened in West Didsbury with a fantastic selection and good prices apparently. I'll try and get the name of it.

I thought they all shut down?

Went into administration a couple of years ago and are now left 34 stores. There are now plans to expand the business.

Around half of the ones left are in London and they are very good on selection of wines/beers.
