OEM vista ship on 12th?

I just called and was advised to just cancel the Vista off and get the case sent tonight to arrive tomorrow.
Under that assumption, im guessing nobody will be getting their copy of Vista shipped tomorrow.

You will still be getting it before the release date tho
I wouldn't bank on you getting Vista any sooner from OcUK than any other retailer.
A day or two at the most over say some of the smaller online stores.
I must have missed a thread - what gave people the impression that OcUK were going to be rolling out Vista weeks before the official release date?

Pre-order is there so you can secure your copy. Many, many places do this. Your are not forced to do this so I suggest if you do not like doing this you do not do it again in the future. Don't come crying when they have all sold out though.

This is 100% the reason why threads are deleted asking for information on orders.
The OcUK people do not read the forums 24/7 and 99% of the threads relating to orders will get missed, like this one.
If you have issue with an order then PHONE THEM UP the forums are not a suitable point of contact, just because people post on here on occasion it does not mean they read every post.

I guess people were peeved at being told that they could get Vista early by OcUK when in fact it has not turned out that way. I suppose there will be people pointing the finger through frustration but it could be just a matter of supplier problems.

It is indeed supplier problems.
At no point was it a guaranteed contract that you would get vista on the 12th, all that was said was OcUK was expecting delivery on the 12th from their suppliers.
If the supplier has messed up nothing OcUK can do about it, at least if you have a pre-order and you have paid you have a copy of Vista for the release.
Would be rather stupid to cancel allocated stock to go to another retailer where you have no allocation for release.
