Off the shelf or custom exhaust?

Have you been down to SCA? Last time I was in there they seemed to be making a big deal of the fact that they build bespoke exhausts.

Urgh SCAb

I went there to buy an overpriced K&N filter, actually scrap that. I went there to buy a Pipercross filter seeing as they are an authorised Pipercross stockist and came out with an overpriced K&N :o

They were pushing all their services then. Telling me that I should get one of their Superchip remaps over an all power and no drivability Revo (couldn't be further from the truth) and one of their custom exhausts.

The temptation to say lets just have a look at your staff car park for a second... NOW DON'T TRY AND TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO TO MY CAR!!1WTFLOL was almost overwhelming so I won't be going back there :p

No no no to powerflow, well not if you want it to produce any power that is.
They look good, and sound pretty nice and it's great that you can customise it however you want, so if that's what you are after then go for it.
If you are chasing ponies though, stay well clear. Stick with the Miltek and maybe get powerflow to stick the tip on you like

I had a Powerflow system on my previous car. Quality was top notch but as mentioned being a franchise quality does vay. Looked good and sounded nice. Local powerflow place is in Honningham is it not (Power and Performance)? Ive only ever been to SCA once and to be honest its not somewhere I would visit again. Chances are if you see a car on the roads round here with an SCA decal on it then it just happens to be a heap.

Personally I wouldn't have any aftermarket "performance" exhaust. I had a Janspeed a number of years ago before there were the number of suppliers there are now. Sounded great, but droned so much that I'd get out of the car with a headache after an hour.

Having said that, I put a K&N typhoon on my old MX5 and loved it. Made no difference at all in normal use (so no headache), but sounded ace when I gunned it. IMO the perfect solution.

It does attract the chav element but it's also the place to go if you want motorsport stuff locally.

Best way is to get on the owners club and research a little,

Ive had two stainless exhausts on my car but in the end settled with a 2" peugeot sport group N exhaust :D

Very raspy and quite poppy but not too great on a motorway... still she rarely goes on one!

best thing about it is that it weighs probably half the standard one, if not less!

Power and Performance, thats the one. The guy at work was very impressed and when he went doen they were working on a nice range of cars not just the "yea boi, 8 exhausts and loud enough to wake the dead lolz" crew.

I know where you are coming from with the SCA sunstrip comment ;)

In their defence I have heard that they do some good setup work on cars for motorsport... its just their road use side that has a very "ELL EE DEEZ In moi washer jetz" feel.
