Well i have a long weekend in Amsterdam booked with the missus. Time for a little well deserved us time, as we have been going through a bit of a rough patch.

I've only passed through Amsterdam (or was it passed out  - can't remember) once so can't really remember what's there.. It seems very popular at the moment.

Any recommendation to visit or lunch etc..

I reccomend ducking when they shoot the ping-pong ball into the crowd :(
And dont try hide when they call people on stage, it makes you the obvious target

Have a good time Huddy :)

Hire some bikes, do a picnic and ride somewhere for lunch in a field of tulips...

Amsterdam was brill! Went there last year for my birthday with the girlies :D

The other girl whos birthday it was was hammered at midnight (we went for the Orange celebrations) and we had to take her back to our hotel - luckily our hotel had a nightclub so the rest of us kept partying!

Have a great time.

Would suggest the rembrandt(sp) and the van gogh museum, but when i went we flew and as the van gogh was being redone all the paintings were on show at schiphol airport. Got to see pretty much everything i wanted to and also the heineken tour is pretty good.

I came back from amsterdam 3 days ago, The Van Gogh was all done and good but the queue was about 3 miles long (pre-book your tickets and you can walk right in)

We also went to the amsterdam history museum, very good and a lot of paintings in there from along time ago.

We also went to a dimond cutting factory which was rather interesting.

Ok.. I will have words with the tulips ;)

Other than that there is a fantastic pancake shop that we went to, bit of a walk though... will try to remember other places and get details for ya ;)
