OK, St Albans isn't exactly London but close enough i suppose. But did you really just post a thread that basicaly says "What can i do in London"???!?!?!?

What can't you do??!!

Give us a clue of your interests and i'm sure between us we'll have a big fat list of cool stuff for you to choose from.

Oh yeah, everyone else can stop London Bashing too, it's grimey and horrible granted, but there is always something cool going on and it can be a very exciting place to live and work.

:)

Been tried mate.... the bashers will still criticise something that they're jealous of :p
I have lived in London all my life (apart from the 4 years I spent in Bournemouth for Uni) and love the place.
Peaches and pears.

YOu can hardly call Debenhams a shoppin centre !!!!
Watford has a pretty decent shopping centre but it is (like most shopping centres) full of people hanging around looking in shops with no real intention of buying anything.
Hemel is quieter - I am beginning to prefer it to Watford for that reason alone.

Which is your takeaway?

St Albans has a lot of decent restaurants and pubs, I believe the Fighting Cocks is one of the oldest in the UK or something. St Albans also has a lot of historical content from Roman times, being a Roman town it would do.

London is rammed with things to do, go to the Planetarium if it is still open as there is talk of it closing down to make room for celebrity waxworks or some rubbish like that. I personally love Tower Bridge, a true marvel of engineering and beautiful as well. I've done the Tower Bridge tour a few times, round the engine rooms etc.
