Newquay is however a hell of a lot further than Devon. You're talking another 100 miles, that's an extra 2.5 hours in the car

See if you can get a room at The Thatch pub. Rooms are nice and the food & ale are good. About a 5min walk to a mahoosive sandy beach with plenty of room for privacy and lots of sand dunes to 'explore'.

Sounds great, it's a bit too far though I think. This side of Exmoor would be ideal, I can come off the motorway at Bridgwater and head north to the coast from there.

stratford has some nice sights, i'd take her back there! ok the weather's nice now, anything past 16:30 you'll be wanting a jumper on the beach (that's not a euphamism)
