Off to the Hawksmoor in Covent Garden tonight, recommendations!?

What we had:

Her: 300g fillet
Me: 400g D-Rump
Joint sides: Mac n cheese, triple fried chips, baked sweet potato and buttered carrots

I thought the sides were excellent, but, whilst good, I found the steaks not as good as Gaucho.

The rump was delicious, amazing flavour, but had lots of grisly bits. The fillet had a great texture, but didn't taste as nice as the Argentinian stuff at Gaucho imo.

The Hawksmoor restaurants have just released a cook book (http://hawksmoor.bigcartel.com/product/hawksmoor-at-home).

It's pretty damn good. Has interesting recommendations on Steak cooking and cutting, as well as recipes for:

- other meats
- all their fish dishes
- loads of sides
- deserts
- cocktails

I'd definitely recommend picking one up - it's hella good

I'm off to Goodman with 13 others on Saturday for a bit of an all-dayer! Can't wait.

Should probably stop eating all this steak though...
