Recently brought a X10 mini (sim free) and I have a simplicity contract.

I've been offered the perk of a Iphone4 call inclusive at work. So i'd be silly not to go for it but i'd ideally want to move my main number onto it (the one that is tied up with my simplicity contract) and then give the simplicity contracted sim with a new number and the x10 mini to my other half.

Can I somehow do this ?

I'm not worried about having the same number at work / personal and def don't want to carry two phones.

/edit : Just to add, the simplicity is obviously O2 and so would the new phone / contract be. As I mull it over I can only think that I would have to get a new number for my simplicity phone and accept whatever number I get on my new one. Bit sad, had that number for maybe 20 years now :s

All you should need to do is ring your current service provider and ask for your PAC code, you then give this to the provider you're moving to and they can transfer the number across.

When I rang O2 for my code a year or so ago they wern't very friendly, but I eventually got it.

Agree with both replies here - the best thing to do is get them on the phone and see what they are prepared to do to help you. If you don't get the answer youre looking for, hang up and speak to someone else :)
