On the flip side, an employer can change a contract at a drop of a hat. Your options are then to accept the new contract or look for a new job.
More important than the contract is trust in the employer to do the right thing.
Correct, however still get it in writing. I was told I'd be bumped to x salary after a short period as that's the position and salary I applied for, only now have u reached that salary.
Similar story, someone I know worked for a company and they NEVER received a contract, nothing, fast forward and they lost nearly 3k from comission and pretty much got dropped with no notice period.
