*** Offers & Bargains, all Consoles ***

Yer - just seen that, sorry. Appears they were going through.
Right now they let you sign-up, put everything in your basket and then remove the PS4 at the checkout.
*Sigh*
Some really badly designed sites out there.

I got the ultimate 1TB one with FIFA for @£179.99 from Game confirmed delivery with DPD tomorrow morning. Cancelled the Xbox One I have had on order from Tesco since Monday. Happy days!

Dang. Would have preferred this.

Ended up getting the 500GB Star Wars bundle today from Argos for £149 still, though.

I already have a PS4, but it's an older model and this new one is the 1200 model and is *so* much quieter. That's the main reason I wanted it. My old one is just too freakin loud.

I'll probably hock my old one with the Star Wars game and movie for the same price I bought the bundle. Not out to make a profit, but a free upgrade was hard to resist.

Though I'm also thinking of sticking my old PS4 downstairs to replace my PS3 as a media machine and *occasional* game machine. Thing is, I'd have to buy the new PS4 remote, which is like £33 right now. That's kind of a butt deal when I've already got a perfectly good PS3 media remote. Good old proprietary tech, eh?

Dunno yet. I'll think about it a couple days. I'm assuming retailers are just all clearing out old stock and once that's gone, the £149/179 deals will stop and it will be easier to sell myself.

The Tesco one seems to be switching in & out of stock every 10-15 minutes. Thread on HUKD is showing people getting one, then OOS, then gettting one again.
Looking the best bet at the moment if you can be arsed to refresh the page.

Think deal of the day was Argos with the 500GB, FIFA17, An other game and second controller for £149. But funnily enough they were snapped up.

So as these have presumably already been sold to retailers, who's taking the hit on the price? The retailer? Or would Sony have sold them off at a cheaper price a month or so back?

The Argos deal was amazing. I managed to to get the two games for 149 and the 179 with 2 games and v2 controller for 179. Also got a standard 149 with Fifa. Keeping one and rest going to friends

Usually in a "firesale" situation, the manufacturer will try to make sure the retailer doesn't take a hit. As the prices are so uniform it's almost certainly a Sony instigated sale, rather than the retailers being allowed to do what they want.
Retailers will effectively get credit from Sony.
So let's say that a PS4 was purchased by the retailer for £200 and is now sold for £149, Sony will give the retailer £50 of credit for each one.
And of course Sony made a profit when they sold it to the retailer - so nobody is losing out here.

Sony is likely not making £50 profit per console, though. So it might still be a bit of an outright loss. They'll of course make it back in software sales and PSN subscriptions, though.

Tesco said:
Sorry, we don't have enough PS4 500GB Blu-Ray console (Black C Chassis) items in stock right now. This item (s) has been added to your save for later basket. You can try to purchase this item again by reducing its quantity.

:(

Refresh the page, they are in and OOS like mad, showing in for me 15 minutes ago.

Edit - My local had some in stock earlier too

Very have the 1TB Lego Star Wars bundle for £179.99, and there's usually a new customer code floating around on HUKD for further savings.
