Offical C905 thread

The down button on my Navikey is strarted to go wrong- it needs a firm press with little travel to register, and it clearly looks 'mashed' into the keypad.

I have the C902 and it seems a damn good upgrade from my K800i.

I give it lots of abuse and it just keep smiling back :D

Glad I didn't get the C905 now by the looks of this thread.

BTW: My K800i was a very early one, got hammered to ****every day for a year and half, and now is in the hands of a mate who hammers it too. IT was in the pocket I keep my keys in too, so has virtually no unscratched bits left.
And people have said they were naff!
K800i has just died after 2 years of serious abuse, could probably fix it but I thin it's served me well. Was going to take Orange up on their offer but after reading some threads I just don't think the C905 will stand upto the daily punishment it'll get from me at work.

Very tempted to get another tan-k800i and use the fact it's a cheap phone to get a cheaper deal £/m.

For gods sake, my ear piece has just died!

Apparently its a common problem and VERY annoying one at that!

I had the K800i before it and I not had one problem with it in the 18 months, This is very dissapointing.

Guess ill be phoning Orange tomorrow

Disappointed. Just tried for a free upgrade to this from a W850 and Orange wouldn't give it on first phone call.

I've been on raccoon25 since April 2007 and end up paying £35-£40/mth. They wanted £127 for the C905, £20/mth 300mins, no data bundle. Surely I'm not asking too much?

Who's doing a good deal for new sign ups on the C905 (or the HTC Touch)?

My select button and my clear button stopped working unless the phone was closed.

When I was in the shop sorting it out there was another girl in there whose speaker had broken.

I love the phone; just waiting for it to come back from repair.

just read the whole thread, phew.

am wanting this from my k800i but it sounds like its hit and miss and can't take much wear and tear. I've dropped my k800i down a 20step solid wooden stair case, and it didn't even have a scratch on it, i take it the c905 is a lot more fragile, not that i test phones by dropping them down stairs.

any1 got any good equivalants? the main reason i want the c905 was for the camera, but no one has mentioned it and any1 that has said the flash photography don't come out to good. and i take most of my pics on night outs in clubs etc.

The camera is absolutely fine :)

My girlfriend got the phone on an upgrade. Shes quite fussy about phones and she had the whole mic/earpiece dying problem about a month after getting it. However she absolutely loves it! The camera is very good and she uses it on almost every weekend out, its dead easy to use and its a major improvement over previous phones shes had.

I would say it might be a little fragile compared to previous choccy bar Sonys. I had a K750 and i couldnt kill it no matter what i did to it so i would say the c905 isnt as durable as that but thats maybe not the norm with todays models.

I have an Iphone and an N95 and my girlfriend has the C905. She wouldnt swap it for either of mine but i wouldnt swap mine for hers. It really depends on what you want from the phone but certainly its well worth having.

Just phoned orange to upgrade to this phone and they tell me it's been discontinued as the phone has way to many faults and the majority of them come back... back to the drawing board for me :(

Just a little point for people who have the c905, there is a new firmware release available via sony's update service

Ive updated mine to it and it solves youtube issues, gives a 'smile' function on the camera, adds a coversation style logger for text messages as well as a few other applications
