I like Dead Air as much as the next guy but Dear Air? :)
 
Defending that house before the boat comes was amazing last night. Think I played with some Ocuk guys but also random spanish people late at night.

First time the boat came the whole team was alive on low HP, and as soon as we left *the house the hordes overwhelmed us and loads of hunter + smokers took us all down within seconds.

The second time 2 of us held out for ages, but when the boat came I didn't leave the house quick enough. He got onto the pier giving cover fire and I was about 20m behind when i chucked my final pipe bomb to distract them. At that point the pier exploded in fire (he shot something) and a hunter pounced on me along with a boomer. I scremed a lot dieing in agonising pain, whilst shouting out to leave me behind and save yourself.

Took us a good hour and a bit, but amazing fun inthat forest, but how crap was it when that guy didn't let you into his safe room then rung the bells. I recommend the auto shotty for that bit, and crouch about 3m back from the barricade so the smokers and hunters don't get you. Easy peasy.

One annoying thing though is the score whores out there. X2 with m4s and one with auto shotty with me sniping. People kept rushing out into open spaces and getting attacked loads even though I said wait and let me snipe all the furthest ones from the hole in the door. And even when they do wait and Im doing that, people walk infront when Im scoping so I shoot them. noobs.

Might be on tonight, but have a flat that I might need to view in a rush and sign for.

Have just orded this ,is it as simple as using the installation key that comes with the game on steam?

I play with a mate who is really annoying when it comes to team work. Just runs out into big open spaces while we are progressing through the map slowly. He draws loads of attention and usually ends up on the ground leaving us to make up the ground and help him out. Going to play with someone else instead of him I think to solve the problem!

Either put the cd in, then install...or fire steam up, and 'add a game', put said key in, then download.

Although regardless of which option you will have to download something.

I installed the demo when it first came out but it's locked out now.Just ordered the game so should be with me in the morning. It wont allow me to pre download,maybe it will use the demo files and update it to the full game.

That's what mine did....It said pre-load complete a days after the demo finished...

However I re-installed as I had been putting textures and stuff into the folder when I was map making.

So I wanted a fresh install.

Just like the guys I had last night. They are especially bad when I tell them I can tell a boomer is round the corner, and rather than pre-firing there, they run around the corner towards the thing. I normally let them get swamped and then just spray into the group. Plus the amount of times people waste pipe bombs is silly, throwing it into an open area with 5 zombies rushing to it :rolleyes:

Another tactic if you are facing the tank and about to get bummed by his big chunky arms. Use your molotov and petrol bomb yourself, taking one for the team :D

ROFL :D :D, i couldnt remember who had said it, made my day that did. You fancy another game tonight? I shall be on from about 5ish onwards for some more carnage on expert.

I shall keep an eye out for games on my friends list - it has got pretty extensive since this game came out :)
 
No Schumi! We NEED to beat Dead Air on Expert damnit! we have failed twice already!

I'll be playing tonight at 9pm on the dot if you guys are on.

I dont think we need to change the tactics all that much really, it is just unfortunate that we had a stupid tank in the apartment that nailed to very little health and then 2 witches in the offices.

We shall avenge the last 2 nights :)

Trick to this is the broken plane behind the tank thingy you have to set off. You can climb one of the wing tips and your sorted to kill the hordes etc, just moving out for the tanks then getting back to that spot after is the hard bit. :)
