Ill add ya on mine, FWIW "z" makes all the other flags obsolete as "z" is the superuser flag which means you can do anything.

Ahh. Thanks, I must've missed that in the docs :) Until Left4Dead, I'd not really had much experience with srcds - I was always more a quake/unreal tournament type.

Thanks for the admin rights too. Message me with your steam ID and I'll get you setup on mine later today when I revamp the servers a bit.

On another note, can I just ask if you've blocked me from your friends list or something? If so, fair enough, but I'd like to know for sure before I delete you so my list doesn't get too clogged. Also, whenever I try to get into one of your servers, there is normally nobody on them, what time do people normally play on them?

As uv says, annoying steam/paypal issues have meant I had to get a new account. Sorry for not really bothering to update everyone about it.

There's normally two of four servers constantly filled in the evening. I've personally not played as much in the last week or so due to family/friend commitments but I'll be on a lot more in coming week.

Saw you guys the other day and asked you if you were new :D I think you and another team mate replied that you had only been playing a few days!!!
(I was quite scared the rest of the map!)

Welcome aboard and that, I would advise that just because people don't play with [OcUK] tag on, doesn't mean they aren't one or a friend of one, etc.

Mostly if OcUK guys start a game they will invite OcUK'ers first then get desperate and invite similar gaming friends, which is great as long as there are no jackasses.

There was some talk in this thread a while ago of people with the OcUK tag were kicking/abusing non tagged people, even though the non taggers WERE forum frequenters.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that be open to other players when with the OcUK crew the chances are they will know people in your game and be good players.

Unless their name is Mrk , Buckz or Robert :D
 
Good games last night indeed, next time I'll try not to throw a molotov into us instead of the zombies :p

whats i matter if someone does not have a tag? dotn get it to be honest, personally i like to have a few ppl with ocuk tags in a gam, for that warm fuzzy feeling :)

To mango; there is nothing wrong with non OCUK'ers especially if you are already with some of the lads anyway, it's going to be a good game. It's also nice to have diversity and have different players in the teams. New people, new insights, new tricks you might not know, etc.

Also, just cos someone has the [OcUK] tag on, doesn't make them some sort of "pro gamer". See my earlier reference to mrk, buckz, robert86 :p

It is a problem playing with a complete novice team or people you don't know who refuse to use teamplay. Like joining a "quick game". Takes a lot of fun out of it when its a struggle rather than a challenge :)

hey guys haven't been on the forums in ages and I just came across this thread! I'm addicted to this game ( pretty much the reason I'm getting a new rig so quickly after my previous one dying). How often does everyone play around here?

You as well lol I did that too. Made me laugh on some map we were all on a roof top as infected and when the survivors came up that ladder they all got taken out.

I'm back!

I was hoping to be ready for action tonight, but now I have a visitor until the new year - let's hope he likes playing on the PS3 - that will keep him busy and I can get on L4D :D

I see some of the same discussions are ongoing - versus difficulty, ocuk tags...hehe, you lot never change! With any luck, I'll be around tonight - if not, I'll be trying to offload my cousin as much as possible over the next few days! :D
