***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Was I playing with some of you guys when on the first level no mercy, near the entrance to the stairs leading down to the safe house, I smokered, and two hunters pounced the other players and finally a boomer spewed on the last one - incapping all? Awesome bit of teamwork (may have been a few days ago). Looked like they were going to make it easy - then it all went pear shaped for them :)

My fav tactic on this level as the tank is to go fetch the alarmed car and hit it into the alley - got 20000 points doing that the other day!!!!

Aye I've never seen it quite executed like that though, it was so well done :p

Wasen't me who came up with the idea, wasen't aware you could force a hunter on the team by killing the boomer, that needs fixing really.

I just did my bit so to speak :p

Yeah that was the one, we where on the group server before hand, then we went into a lobby and it searched for a server so it changed :(

Hah, I should have recorded it and all actually, silly me!
 
Good game last night on BH. Think bucks, econobob (??) and a few others were there. Most balanced game I've had in ages. Think the points at the very end were something insanely close like 6100 to 6313.

Even then we shoulda won because we had 3 people in the car at the end and one smokered but the damn tank got in the car and incapped one whilst we were waiting for the driver to put his foot down!!

Still great fun, best game I've had in a few days!



Edit:- Also Aekeron what is your in game/steam name? I forgot!

I WAS in that game, then my game crashed and everyone nabbed each others spot :(...Soon joined another cracking game though :p

oh, and Aekerons name is FrenchTart usually.

Something similar happened with us I was playing against Buckz and we took out his team with a boomer, smoker and 2 hunters...can't remember the level, but I think it was the Blood Harvest campaign. It's so good when an infected strategy all comes together in this game! It was infact during the same game as Knubje says ^^^ and was generally very close.

I only use Link to Insanity, Xel (if Link doesn't fit) or mattf121 (for forums), generally...

Infact if you search around there are numerous forums with Mattf121, generally me!

just had a game with azza (he;s just bought) was good, we died :(

Was interesting with the added challenge of my mouse batteries being almost dead and having to stop every few minutes to charge them for a few seconds while he covered me :D

My names Opul in game.

Opul's been my name online since like CS beta 4. something :p...If not before!

Dunno why I didn't use it here actually...Guess I prefer this name as it actually relates to me.

Oh, and mouse wise I use an MX1000, seems to last a good day of constant playing :p few years old now too.
 
The MX1000 is good mouse but I have gone through three in almost four years. The left click button wore out on the other two within one year of use.

Other than this major fault all is good :p

What do people think of the mapchanger plugin?

Does it end the campaigns too early? Do you successfully go on to the next campaign at the end?

Does it not work at all due to me forgetting a cvar somewhere?
