***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Servers were supposed to be patched and live at 10AM PST which is 6PM BST.

As far as I know, when I have used the old "ocuk" key, it goes to a server with a banner in orange saying "OcUK 6" with a black background. This is the server I have seen with performance issues.

Don't think I've been put on 3-5 recently, to my knowledge. If FragM 1 & 2 are busy the key ocuk1 doesn't work and no games are found. Which suggests to me they are the only ones responding on it atm.

When we use the ocuk1 key, it nearly always finds your servers pretty quick and they run like a charm when they are free.

So it seems that we are all operating out of 2 servers as of yesterday night. No idea if it's Seani's servers or Decto's that are going mad, but I'm confident they haven't got the new key on yet.

In a nutshell, I'm always on the FragM servers these days and haven't seen the others at all, unless i use "OCUK" key and then it takes me to afformentioned borked server with orange tag in top right when you press "tab" in game.

If Seani and Decto are here and can respond with some updates and we can get a list of IP's I'd be more than happy to get some lads on each one to test later on?

There do seem to be a few issues with server 6 ever since the last update a few weeks back. I'm hopefull that tonights update... when it's released might fix the issues.

The server runs fine for a day or so but the UDP receive buffer keeps expanding until it overflows and rejects incomming packets causing a lag type effect. In the short term I've been restarting daily providing there isn't a game in progress though I'm reliant entirely in the server data since whenever I've played on there it seems fine and CPU usage is ~30% at cresendo and <20% all other times. Memory is about 35%.

If I have some time later this week I may try a full fresh install of linux and see how that goes.

Another possiblity is that I limited the bandwidth so see if that cured the buffers and that could be affecting some. I'll undo that change and see if tha helps.

Fixed a case where teleporting to the survivors would not reset the ability timer

Fixed an exploit where you could load the chamber of a weapon with bullets by holding down the melee key

Fixed a rare case where listen servers would speed up the game over time

Removed convars related to melee fatigue

Fixed a case where infected players would get a respawn time on their initial spawn into a map
