***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Had quick blast, the versus mode is great fun! Runs fine here, found a couple of decent lag free servers, and no crashes in about hours worth of play :) Work to do now :(
 
Phew, finished Death Toll with a some randoms about half an hour ago. Only two of us left at the end until a Tank and a shed-load of zombies got to the other guy at the exit. I tried to save him honest. Great fun!
 
guys, just to warn you, it's taken me around 15 minutes to decrypt and unlock the game files, so best make a cup of coffe or take a quick shower when you come home - you won't be able to just jump right in.

this on a Crysis Warhead, Gamer -playable system
 
Game decrypted, went to load. Black screen and crash. Looks like some of the demo issues have carried over. Verifying the cache did nothing so it looks like i'm set for a re-install.
 
:mad: My iPhone ran out of battery and my alarm was set for 5am. Ended up waking at 7:45, got showered etc. and went to play for a quick 30 mins before work at 9:00... even though i pre-loaded the game, time remaining before playing: 59minutes lol.

So i went to work, and it had 10minutes to go until it was finished and ready to play. Gutted!

At least it will be ready for when i go home at 5:30 :) whilst STEAM is getting hammered with everyone else getting it.

That i dont know, its just one of my friends is a pirate and had the 360 version yesterday. He bought his xbox round and to be honest.... its meh on the xbox.

The gameplay is good, but once you have had the PC version on Ultra High settings it feels crap... like going to a Lada from a Ferrari.

I just noticed, that we could choose any level to go on. I played it for 5 mins and was bored on the xbox. To top it off his 360 is banned from LIVE so we were playing with AI.

BORING!

Theres commands to change the spawn limit somewhere, I noticed them when looking around all the files, dunno if they'll actually work though or if the above was just a bug at the time.

I might sit here all day making a shoddy hotel map or something.....hm.

Still have to wait for mine to arrive for a few more days anyway :p

BAH! I still have to wait a good week as well.

No.

There are 4 or 5 Campaigns (forget how many). Each campaign has several levels which are all unlocked. I don't think the campaigns relate to each other, but I haven't done them in any sort of order.

they could, but.... people who cant be bothered will just leave it. Like my mate. The thing is.... my mate pays £40 per year and buys MS points. Now hell just play games offline.

Anyway, back onto Left 4 Dead.
 
I'm hopefully taking the afternoon off. Not all to play L4D sadly - damn house chores :/

Will spend some time in the lead-up getting a dedi server or two setup :)
