I'm just hoping that it will be free, following the tradition of valve software updates...
@Aekeron there is a mod that I played the other night which speeds up healing time and gives the survivors the ability to regenerate (from cupboards as in campaigns) in versus. Do you have any knowledge of this? You could try it out on one of your servers maybe and see if people like it. Just an idea, I can see why people here might not like it (My team was rubbish on that server, so respawning was quite helpful).

I'll have a look at it on one of the servers, though it'd have to have a different search key so that people looking for a 'normal' game wouldn't get landed with it

Yeah i played on a server like that, and to be honest it was a waste of time as all the survivors make it to the safe room with plenty of health (even tho you've killed them plenty of times) and makes the whole vs thing a waste of effort.

Yeh, make sure that people have a choice.
You THINK you know all the moves all teams will do on a map. What you didn't count for last night is Knub's team of pwnage tactically owning your team on NM4 after the elevator event
Hahaah that was absolutley genius and will only work for the SECOND survivor team. (And people complain that they have it easier than the first survivors)
With regards to this MOD for VS - thats lolz. Sounds like campaign with 4 people controlling boss infected. It sounds zzzz tbh! Please don't add it to your servers Aekeron!
(Btw getting small amounts of lag last night, very little but still a bit jerky at times, no idea what that was, gaming from about 7:45-9).
The news is good that a new version of the game is released. Let's hope it is soon, but I am still having fun playing games with friends and OcUK'ers as long as the teams aren't too bias.

That mod for playing special infected on campaign sucks. Ive been on a bunch of servers with it, and the AI dont even leave the starting area half the time! It's so unpredictable too. Sometimes you can pounce one in the middle of the group and they'll ignore you, sometimes they 1 shot you from across the map

Ah, it's *that* mod. Yeah, I looked at it a while ago but it seems rather buggy/rubbish.
Everytime I leave this game for a few days and come back to it, I realise just what a simple and brilliantly crafted piece of work it is. There really isn't a lot better than watching hordes of zombies blown to bits with a few shotgun shells.

that game was dire as hell....I could happily lay on the ground getting raped before people noticing...Once again Buckz had his ears perked up listening out for my screams

As delv said, it was pretty much a total of 3-5 seconds the whole time we were on the server, but it was a bit out of character as they are usually flawless. I assume steam issues too as things seemed a bit odd last night and not 100% right.
