So, you didn't like being given tips on what to do, ignored them, therefore were beaten by oponents because they were working as a team and you wondered why your own team was getting frustrated? :rolleyes:;):p

Or am I getting this all wrong? :confused:

I don't like it when someone barks out orders and then gets annoyed when someone ****s up. However if they are just trying to help you out and help their team win (by giving tips as opposed to orders) I think the game works better for it tbh :eek:

Tank is like the Heavy in TF2, easily pick off by a team, unless supported by 'lesser' Special Infected.

Did you read Anksy's post? It was enough that Gord apologised for it; that says enough to me.

As I said earlier in this thread. I'm a 'talker' too, but I don't issue orders and I don't berate anyone who screws up, especially a newcomer. It's a game.

Sadly, by going 'oh God' when some becomes a Tank, is hardly a motivational way of giving someone tips now is it.

I know a few people on here like to give orders, sometimes it's good....but when people just bad mouth because someone is new to a game, they can just sod off to be honest.

Oh, and I'm not pointing this at you by the way :p

Yeh true. Tbh Opul I don't think we've played each other that often (don't think your on my friends list...:confused:) so I don't know what your like ingame (I'll add ya later). I personally am not the best organiser of my team in this game (Knubje's far better at bossing around then I am ;)), but I try to give people tips. I'm sure when I see the weakest player become the tank I think "Ow well, we've probably lost this round" but outwardly I still encourage them (at least I hope so).:)

It still did come across a bit harsh though.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be on this weekend, got a busy one ahead.... that'll be almost a week without any game time :eek:

Can't remember if we have actually...Might of a couple of times as I'm on Knubje's friend's list also.

I haven't played lately at all....just been doing a few bits lately, trying to sort work out and stuff....But hopefully can play in the evening again soon!

I rarely give orders either, I'll ask people to try something sometimes if no one else is talking, otherwise people just attack randomly as infected :p Which doesn't work obviously....hehe.
 
On the subject of in game talking, I've been playing the new L4D family pack.

Basically, in addition to the normal game, you have a one year old baby asleep in the room next to you. When the game gets tough, you shout into your mic, startle the baby and then get its mum giving you both barrels whilst you are trying to run from a tank.

It makes regular L4D seem well easy.

Toxic.
 
Had a good couple of game last night. I am not one for barking orders but i do always suggest... Don't get me wrong it can get a bit heated in the moment though.

Everybody loooves Knub :D

There is a special way to bossing people around online. You gotta use the power of suggestion to make people do what you want and then praise the teamwork and good efforts made :)

I used to raidlead for my guild in WoW, so I just got used to waffeling ****e all the time :D

Still good crack in most of the games we get going, not always 100% balanced but mostly.
 
Easy boys lol, i was just a bit ****** off that all, as all i wanted to do was play, im good at everything apart from the tank (well i was fine with a tank untill last night....), i dont choose to be the tank so nevermind, no harm done.

dont want it to seem like im new to the game because im not, i just had a couple of **** rounds, with ONLY the tank, i would brush you under the table with every other stat ;), and i was knackered for starters.

again, no harm done :) end of
