***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

I just bought the game today, and wow it's so addictive. I love the fact you not only use your own skill but your counting on your friends. It's exciting learning a new game :).

Anybody offer any advice?

dont rush, stick with your team, meele hunters off if your team mate is close to you... ;P
 
Agreed, was very funny. That final pounce nabbing whoever was in the safe room as they were just about to leave to save someone else (I can't remember any names) had me in stitches, all we could hear was "I can't get the door open" then finally the door opened and bang, hunter nailed him.

Also, was it sharpy on the same level who literally just legged it and left the rest of your team to die?

Great night, even if the scores weren't particularly high.
 
that legging it was prob the difference in teh scores at the end lol

there were so few rounds both teams made it safe so that 40 or 50 points prob won the game :)

Yes thats my excuse anyway lol

BTW the drunken games were epic, ive never failed so much in my life and loved it lol
 
That was me, Pyro Fish, in in the safe room lolol. I rushed for the safe room on DA level 4 limping along in bad shape I thought the rest were dead or incapped. No time to rescue just decided to leg it lol. I got in the safe room then I closed the door and noticed my team mate Coxy was following me outside lol. Then he got incapacitaed and I could not open the door for ages. I think all the zombies chewing on his flesh blocked the door from opening or something. Then when I opened it a bloody hunter pounced right on my face. If only one of us had survived that we would have ended up winning as the points difference was less than 100.

It's odd, because neither the original cevo config or my version restart the server, so it's touch and go whether it actually works properly for the first round, but after that it's fine. Are there certian commands/sourcemod commands that may be blocked on your server? Also I can't get one of the mods running on it either (and I haven't tried the other yet).

There shouldn't be anything blocked, though..thinking about it, it might be that you don't have full admin privs (in sourcemod, via rcon you def. do).

I'll look into modifying you guys to make sure you've got full admin privs.
