Basically I went to install office 2007 on my sisters new laptop until it came to authorising it via the web.

All the licences have been activated but I my memory serves me correctly two of them are installed on "computers" which arent usd anymore.

Is it possible to get the licences reset? Or get microsoft to choose the licenced computers?

General googling suggests that you can call them to ask them to check and then authorise your new PC if they can confirm the other activations are not in use. Not sure tho.

Put in license details, if it does not activate online call MS on the provided telephone number via activate by phone. State that the old activations are now redundant an no longer in use.

If it does activate online then do not worry about it.

Done.

I have office 2003 3 user and it has been installed about 7 times on 3 computers (hardware upgrades so clean install, fresh installs due to registry corruption, old hardware failure) and it has only asked for telephone activation on the last 2 times, and they have gone through without talking to a human, so I'd day it will be OK
