Office 2007 ultimate steal from Microsoft

Im using Microsoft Office XP at the moment.

Is there any point in me spending any money to buy the new 2007? What can the new software do that i cant do with what i already have? Am i correct in saying that its pritty much the same think but it looks a little different and has some more features added that 99% probably wont use anyway?

Also i have noticed from the Microsoft website that this student package does not include Access, Outlook or publisher. Is this correct?

I have all the above with my Office XP install so surly this would be a downgrade for me as i use outlook for example.
Wrong. It has Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Publisher and Powerpoint. Considering its £40 for what normally sellsss for £500, its a bargain.

This is Office 2007 Ultimate remember, not a student version, it's just a student offer and a really good bargin.

What you've said is correct. But this deal is for student, but ISN'T the student package. It's the full Ultimate package, which does include Outlook, Excel and the rest.

It's a bargin for the price, so I'd upgrade anyway, even if you don't find anything else useful. Just nice to be up to date. :)

If your using XP, upgrade. 2003 is worlds above XP, and 2007 is worlds above 2003.

There are some really cool features such as smart art, the new reference manager and when you add programs like one note and groove, it's worth a hell of a lot more than £40.

I don't mean to sound like iv already made up my mind that its not worth me buying it and im just moaning but can you give me some examples of what i can do in the new Office that i cant do with mine presently?

Im actually looking for an excuse to buy it as it seems great value for money but im failing to see what i will get extra for me £40 on top of what i already have.

Burnsy2023 what exactly is one note and groove and smart art?
