Office Chair vs. Gaming Chair

I really want the Herman Miller Logitech Embody, but the price tag is so much, even on sale.
honestly its a good chair but the recline is not as good as the Aeron, actually think the Aeron is a better chair if you don't mind the mesh, you can get them for quite cheap on the Bay and about £600 refurbished they look brand new. Another option is the steel case leap v2 it also is a good chair.

I have said this before, I don't think its worth the price tag Herman Miller is asking, its a very good chair but it has 1 big issues and 2 minor ones for me. The big issue is it can roll your shoulders forward and minor issues are the recline need quite bit more activation force relative to Aeron and the seat can do with a tiny bit more padding. It also needs a headrest and you can buy that separately now. These are just changes I would make but you may find these are fine for you.

In total contrast to @AMDPower i don’t find the recline needs much force at all. In fact I need to tighten it up on my chair! And I don’t find the lack of headrest an issue at all. The way the chair makes you sit means a headrest isn’t required. I still think it’s an expensive chair for what it is

Then buy something much more affordable. The mirra for example, is half that price. Lots of other brand much more affordable than the Embody. You dont need to buy embody to have a very good quality office chair. Buy something affordable or refurbed.

Pretty much the same experience for me. Recline pressure is adjustable so can be tweaked to suit. It is very expensive even at the current sale price, but i sit in mine for 10+ hours a day and have a dodgy back, so dont feel remotely ripped off.

how are you adjusting the recline pressure? does this void the warranty?

Mine is really noisy, I think I'm going to return it. I also don't find the base of it very comfortable at all. I mean it's a few cm of foam and then plastic so I can't see how it could ever be comfortable. I'm getting fed up of trying to find a chair that works for me. I'm tempted to try an Aeron now.
I picked up one of these this week. It might even be the same one as you had!
First impressions were ok but there is a lot of lateral play in the back rest and it creaks like hell. Wanted to like it but now in contact with Corporate Spec to see if I can return it. :(

I ended up with a used Aeron, it’s much better. Then got a Mirra I think from the office which I tend to use more.

I got a targeryan Secret Lab chair last year and having no real experience with gaming chairs I was a bit concerned that I would just end up buying it because it's pretty, but I have to say I'm really pleased with it - which is a relief. It's also very pretty lol

Chairs are always a very personal choice. Few years in and I still very pleased with my Noblechair Hero. The footrest (expensive for what is) helps too. Tried some more expensive office chairs and didn’t work for me. But many people won’t like the Hero.
Is one of those things that no review would ever help, apart from build quality mentions. Similar to a mattress, would require few days to fully evaluate if it is good for you, unless is a proper poor one and you can discard straight away.
The only issue is that a good chair isn’t cheap, but there’s plenty of bad ones expensive.

Anyone compared FLEXISPOT BS8 to Ikea Marcus?

Tried both HM Logitech and Aeron 2 - Aeron is a clear winner for me. But over 1k for a chair is worth only if you have a budget for it. Makes sense to go refurbished route for £500 imo in the current economy if you want top cream.
