office chairs

Avoid those executive leather chairs that you see, after a year they feel like sitting on nails, they are not suitable for computer use as is indicated by the word "executive".
 
i bought a black 'ergonomic task chair' from costco for £70, good value methinks it had a sporty look to it, it's very comfy too.

The fact that all modern chairs support you as you move around on your chair, and not just when you are in a static position.

You only need to look at the vast majority of mid to high end chairs, ever Herman miller do one now as their top of the range.

The list goes on and on. Whilst I'm not saying they are bad, They are much better than cheaper chairs. But for that price range, you can get much better.

Don't forget the aeron is 16 years old, in design.

Thinking about treating myself to the Ikea chair but just have a question about the castors. This is what it says on the site about them:

These castors are designed for hard floors. PUNKT castors for soft floors are sold separately.

As the chair will be on a carpeted floor does this mean I have to buy the other set of casters or will I be ok with the ones it comes with?

Been using mine on a carpet for years. :p
 
We all have these chairs, they are branded as topstar but I cannot find any information about them:
