Awkward conversations at Aston if Mercedes overcomes the deficit to Aston and takes second in the manufacturers.

Alonso, like Verstappen, brings in the points single handedly whilst in a happy place as they are unchallenged.

Hats off to both though, they are driving brilliantly.

Mercedes are already second, 152 points to 134. Did you mean Ferrari and third place?

Alonso, like Verstappen, brings in the points single handedly whilst in a happy place as they are unchallenged.

Stroll has 35 points from 7 races.

Stroll is the main problem for AM. Thankfully for RB their car is brilliant enough that Perez can still score some points even with poor form.

Hulkenberg under investigation for driving to slow under the red flag. :(

Sainz has 3 place grid penalty for impeding Gasly.

Tsunoda summoned for impeding Leclerc and a second one for impeding Hulkenberg.

Also Stroll for impeding Ocon.

Stewards going to be busy for a while yet.

Great qualifying that. Can't believe Stroll managed to not his the wall with his spin!

Ferrari in total shambles as usual. They don't stand a chance against Aston and Merc if they keep this up. Likely going to finish 4th in the constructors.

Perez just seems to have completely collapsed. Seems to be consistently miles of Max's pace now.

I personally think sianz should have got a bigger penalty.

I was humoured to see ferrari making the wrong decision and leclerc making the right call. Always love a ferrari blunder!

Damn, shame for Hulk :( Less risk of him causing an incident with the front runners now though

Its probably better for the race. It might stop verstappen running off in the distance for 2 laps rather than starting immediately! :D

Hope verstappen doesn't get much screen time as he is going to be as far ahead as he decides.

Watched the YT highlights. Looked like it was an interesting session! Shame for Hulk. I’m always a pessimist but Alonso never seems to want to race Max, he’ll be more concerned with impeding Hamilton. So Max will get a 2sec advantage by the time they sort themselves out and then maybe we’ll have a bit of a race. But who knows who’s going to be stronger in the race, it’s so random with these regs. Any chance of rain?

Ferrari are embarrassing. It's clear that Binotto wasn't the problem .. though analysts were saying that before the season anyway.

Perez is doing his usual self destruction though this time it's turned to 11. Guess it won't be long till we hear excuses about the car setup blah blah blah...

If he keeps this up he won't be racing next season.. you can't just have him sat in midfield in a car like that it's ridiculous. Luckily for RB, Max doesn't need a rear guard at the moment!

Ferrari were mad to sack Binotto so quickly. He delivered the second best car on the grid for them, and they ditched him the very next year. Love Horner or hate him, but he has bought stability to the team and by sticking with him after the bad years RB are back on top again. Mercedes too, benefit from having such a stable leader. Every time you bring in a new principal, it means new turmoil within the team, people have to learn new ways of working, and time for the principal to stamp their mark on the team. All that distracts from the actual business of winning races.

Good job from Albon in Q2. Carlos was ridiculous driving so slow through the final chicane, penalty well deserved.
