I wonder if the Merc's are getting low on engine life and having to run on a more conservative map. They are normally slow on the straight, but this slow?

So we need to introduce more lift and coast. Finding free air where we can for this PU temp. Gap behind 4.4 to Gasly. - George Russell

Looks like they are struggling with cooling
 
Landos just done a fastest lap, gives something the commentators to big up for the rest of the race with "Potentially" catching Max.

Yeah, Max just being Max. He's just managing the gap, the moment Lando has a whiff of being faster he one ups him.

Lando is matching Max's times very closely and consistently though. It's good to see something matching the pace.

It goes for any race leader. They just tell them what the car behind is doing pace wise, so they can match it. I don’t think Norris is doing anything special, although his pace is obviously the best of the rest.
