I think I'll watch sprint quali and if the grid looks interesting stay up for the sprint race (starting at midnight here!).

Latest FIA Directive to spice up the season and try and get their own slice of the prize money due to the cost of living crisis and rising costs around the world.

Given the Medical Car has technically started every race (It completes 1 lap behind the grid on the first lap of the race and then pulls into the pits at the end of its first lap) they have been awarded 2 points on a retrospective basis.

It's just someone messing in the FOM/F1 TV graphics department and forgot to display the correct points graphic. The Medical Car and Safety Car do carry Transponders though and are timed. They sometimes show the SC/Medical Car laps on their Thursday prep day and their times.

Very possible given how Lewis overtakes by trying to drive through the leading car.
