Sainz probably could have got going a lot quicker from that spin, but easier to stay still and make it a red flag.

Then just trundle back and get sorted under red flag with the clock stopped.

/cynical :p

I forgot it was on until I saw the Mercedes FB post about Lewis out in Q1 lol. Watched everyone and their dog go P2 in the last few minutes then the usual zzzz

Alonso is really wringing the neck of that AM isn’t he. MV was what 6 tenths ahead? That makes for an exciting race tomorrow I’m sure.

I think he means RB 1 and 2 again.... The rest of the top 10 was decent mix up but overall, it leads to another VERY boring race tomorrow...
It's only boring because you're attributing a good race to having your favourite driver in P1. If Max runs off into the distance but Ferrari, McLaren and Alonso put out some good racing, it'll be a good race.

I think it’s more having the same guy getting pole and winning an every single race for the last 2.5 years actually…

There’s no massive Leclerc fans on here for example, but if he snuck pole then you bet attitudes for the race tomorrow would be a bit more positive.

Obviously, but half this forum are constantly sulking over a situation that happens almost every year. I'd love to see Alonso, Charles or Sainz up there, but equally glad that Merc aren't dulling up the front again - nobody will ever really win if they don't set realistic expectations.

Ironically, most wouldn't sulk if Lewis was on pole and ran away with it, even after suffering through years of that in the previous era.

Exactly
I think even Max must be getting bored now.
He cruises to Pole and a win in each race. Even when he’s coming through the field no driver battles him and just waves him through, as they aren’t racing him for position. Nearly 3 years of that is probably dull for him.

Time for MV to move to a new team for a new challenge !

I agree. I jokingly said on previous page that they should just hand the championship to Max so the other drivers can have at it and maybe enjoy it more to chase for P1. It got someone’s back up just because I didn’t find it exciting to watch. If he’s a Max fan then I can understand this.

Can’t take it away from Max though, driving the best car and being one of the best drivers on the grid and the result is winning this mornings sprint by 13seconds, and he wasn’t even on pole.

We’ve been through this before and the history books tell a different version of the Lewis running away with it, without any challenges.

Just caught up with the Sprint and Qualifying.
Decent sprint race although Max looked ominously good as usual, shame Lando made such a crap start.

What's happened to Ferrari this weekend? It feels like 2022 all over again; Ferrari look quick one weekend and dire the next.

Christ though I'm struggling listening to Nico Rosberg, he doesn't half talk a load of crap
