Ferrari strategy is often robotic.
Stick to the script no matter what.

Problem is their script has plans A - Z and they nearly always chose the wrong one. They can still secure second in the constructors which isn't terrible, but the drivers have 0% chance of winning drivers title for them.

And someone have a word with Colapinto running Oscar off the track!
What punishment did he get for that in the end? That was nuts.
Not gonna lie Kimi wiping out Max did put bit of a smile on my face, considering it’s Red Bulls home race, and Kimis teammate is closest to Max in the championship
*whispers* I don’t think you were the only one ;)

I can see Max leaving Red Bull.....would be good to see him in a different car...Merc?
I can see him packing the whole lot in to be honest - he's got nothing else left to prove and he's been very vocal about competing in enduro racing. Have to say having watched quite a bit of the Le Mans 24 hours the racing is much better than what we're getting at the moment in F1.

Going from a reported $65m/year to probably not more than $1m/year is quite a lot of motivation.

Yeh, they'll most likely get 2nd in the constructors, but that will probably only be because they have one of the best driver pairings on the grid, and Red bull have effectively one driver, and Merc have a massively young rookie in his first year.

Hell probably still get collosal amounts of money with marketing/advertising contracts etc.

Besides,he no doubt has more money than he knows what to do with by now anyway :p

True, he'll have a fair amount of personal sponsorship to carry through, but the continued value of those sponsorships is dependent on his continued involvement in F1 (and continued success).

You or I might think that, but it doesn't seem to stop them wanting more, does it?

Completely disagree Max doesn't strike the person to be motivated by money also I think the way that things are going within the FIA could help fuel his desire to leave. I sincerely hope he doesn't as he is good entertainment.

I'm surprised Bernie E didn't have a brown paper bag with him on the rostrum, but probably he'd already handed it over to the promoters before the ceremony...

I wish he'd leave F1... but am aware there are some people who like him, I don't, I think he is dirty. More than Schumacher. You can be a great racer without what Max does but it's harder. Like Oscar :-)

F1 popularity helped with drivers like Max though for better and for worse.

I gave the race an 8 only because of the rarity of same cars and team mates actually squaring off H2H, different level of exciting when there's true parity for the race lead/win.

Went for an 8 as well. Thought it was a decent enough race and perhaps just a few more laps could have made it really interesting at the end. Think Verstappen has resigned himself to the fact that the championship is over and he's not that bothered anymore. Not sure he would have been as friendly with Antontelli, if he really thought of himself as being in the thick of the chase with the McLarens.

Good win for Norris but there's definitely a fragility there that Oscar won't mind seeing.

That was one of the better races for me - it was nice seeing some actual battling at the front. I was getting very nervous in the first stint when Piastri was all over Landos gearbox, so glad he finally managed to put a proper weekend together.
