When was the track built?
Construction of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit began in 2021. The circuit was designed to be a fast and flowing street track, set against the stunning backdrop of the Red Sea. It was completed in record time, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to hosting world-class motorsport events.

When was its first Grand Prix?

What’s the circuit like?

Alternatively, the grandstands near the final sector provide a great view of the cars navigating the tight, technical corners before heading back onto the main straight.

Russell is the least appreciated driver on the grid given his performance levels. Verstappen is well clear but im starting to wonder if Russell might actually be the second or third best driver on the grid as it stands... definitely top 5 i think.

Maybe but he's proven before he chokes under pressure. He's currently under zero pressure

German Sky have Niels Wittich as their rules expert. It's so nice hearing properly informed opinion on this stuff. He thinks Lando will be penalised.

Nice to see Sainz finally having a decent race in the Williams

I will say one thing though, without the 5 Sec penalty it would likely have been massively close between Verstappen and Piastri; we might get a decent title fight yet this season, just not necessarily the one we expected.

The McLaren at least is more consistent; so far there's not been a circuit its not worked on - the others seem to be far more variable (but then it was the same last year once Red Bull's initial advantage disappeared).
