Now there's one with stars! :D

Anyway, the few of use that have these CPU's seem to be making lots of threads about them - think I am worst offender :D

So though we could all chip in to a single thread. I will update this post with a list of people's max overclocks, and post links to any useful info.

Performance Tuning Protection Plan by Intel®

There has been some debate on whether this is a rip-off and even necessary, but I suppose it can offer some extra peace of mind to some of us who aren't used to spending so much on a CPU :)

MEMBER OVERCLOCKS

I suppose it makes sense to request people post their CPU-Z validation here. Just a link to the validation will suffice. Not sure I should put any rules regarding things like needs to do at least 10 runs IBT very high - what do you guys think?

cammy5477 - 5250 @ 1.432V

3930K

1.4-1.5v on the Vcore just for anyone whose worried to go past 1.4 I can't post stable at 4.8 without going to 1.410 myself. I know others can go much lower and some have to go slightly higher. Luck of the draw and all that.

Been running my 3930K at 4.6ghz @1.3-1.31V since purchasing a few months ago using a P9X79 Pro/Noctua NH-D14 2011, max temp I've seen is 75C using the new AVX Prime95 after a couple of hours.

Feeling quite smug about investing in it tbh given how IB has turned out. :p

What voltages and LLC settings are you using for 4.6GHz @ 1.31v?

Need some help with my overclock getting to 4.62GHz

X79 Sabertooth
3930K
16Gb Samsung Green

4.5GHz (125 x 36) stable settings

Vcore: 1.35
PLL: 1.8
CPU VCCSA: 1.2
CPU VTT: 1.2
CPU LLC: Normal

Alternatively i can set Vcore: 1.35v and LLC: High

4.62GHz (125 x 37) "stable" settings

Same as above apart from these changes:

VCore: 1.4+
LLC: Normal

OR
VCore: 1.385
LLC:High

Either setting gives me 85c+ on VCORE (VRMs). Really need to cool them down, but cannot fit a fan on them due to the Phanteks heatsink being mammoth.
Going around reading reviews and other's setups they seem to get away with lower voltages. Am i missing something?

Try upping the pll. Try going up in 0.025V increments.

And try sticking to LLC medium.

PS - currently testing mine at 4.75GHz at 1.33V :D

As long as can get stable am not going to worry too much about temps til tomorrow and give TIM a chance to settle in.

Will take details down from BIOS when I am sure I got it stable. Had to up a few voltages here and there. Now at 1.344V.

Can't remember exactly what the other voltages are.

PLL upto 1.85v got me nothing.
VTT and VCCSA increases have got me nothing. 1.38v looks to be stable so far in IBT but gives me 84c CPU and 86c VCORE (VRM) temperatures. Hot hot!
