Have you tried all the BIOS's that are on offer?
Tried a few different.
Wouldn't be an issue at all if I wasn't bothered about sleeping.
Got the GTI (2500K) back in. At least this time I decided to go back, not in anger or frustration, but just weighing up the situation and making most sensible decision for my sanity.
But I am not sure if I should sell the board, or try and return it as faulty. I don't know that it's faulty, and could just be some compatibility issue, but I am not spending money on X79 specific RAM.
I will be clear if selling that I was having sleep issues with my combination of stuff, but just don't know which way to go...

It may also be a CPU issue, remember everything is on the CPU these days!!!!
why are you so bothered about sleep mode anyway??
I did test my system at 5.2ghz with memory at 2400mhz and it resumed and straight into prime or linx 10 Times out of 10.
Have you tried a different PSU by anychance???

No issues during any test and temps stay below 70C on a H100 with fans on medium speed.
I am very pleased with that since it is only the second cpu I have overclocked.

It could be worth a shot, resuming from sleep might be causing a voltage drop that is causing the issue.
Couple of questions for those with the Rampage IV Extreme. How noisy is the chipset fan? How hot does the chipset get with the fan turned off with a decent overclock? I ask as i'm about to bite the bullet and am considdering watercooling the board as well.

I have just ordered the waterblock for the board. To be honest the fan is barely audible, I am only doing it because a can. lol

It's definitely quite loud at full speed and temps increase a bit when it's fully off, although I haven't checked the actual difference. I just leave it set to 50% where it's pretty quiet.
Thanks for that, i'm usually against mobo blocks but i think in this case i'll get it. Still pondering the Rampage 4 formula tho and not bothering with the mobo blocks as well. Decisions decisions.
Not used it as I assume it's there for extreme overclocking (over 5GHz).
Those VCCSA and CPU boot voltages are for sub ambient cooling really to ensure cold boot.

Bought this rig (not pre-assembled) from ocuk in April, I've settled @ 4.4Ghz as things get messy when I pass 4.4GHz on my 3960x, at 4.4 I can omit LLC and use an offset of -0.010 but even them my temps are warm, I'm guessing a NH-D14 sat right atop of 8 sticks of DDR3 isn't helping my idle temps.
I'd not be happy at 4.6GHz on air in my rig, especially with all ram slots populated.
Anyway, 4.4GHz (44x100) with C1E enabled for a 1.2GHz idle, RAM @ 1600MHz, Regular (0%) LLC, offset voltage of -0.010.
Not sure why HWMonitor returns wacky max fan speeds and min volts, but the cpu temps are accurate to the best of my knowledge, I've cross-referenced with realtemp and the Asus AI Suite.

Overall I'm very happy with the rig, happy with the overclock and happy with the service from ocuk!

VCORE: 1.37v
LLC: High
PLL: 1.85v
VCCSA: 1.2v
VTT: 1.18v
RAM @ 2133MHz 10,10,10,28,128,1T
It's stable but a bit too toasty (86c IBT Maximum....). I will be taking the VCCSA and VTT down as far as i can go whilst still keeping it stable.
Also, time to attack the memory timings, i want to achieve 9,9,9,21,96 1T but will settle for 9,10,10,24,114

Well i have the ability to amend the thirds so i will see what i can get, this RAM is fun to play around with and tweak.
9,10,10,21 1T will be nice though.
