Cheers mate, one question though...card power to full? Just curious how that works? simply more behind your oc to keep it stable?

That is the power target is for telling the computer how much more power to use. for example, if you set it to 110%, it will use 10% more of your PSU power. This also links into the Boost and if the card can boost higher, it will and will use 10% more PSU power (I am rubbish at explaining things and hope this makes sense?)

I always threw mine at max.

Just another note, put your GPU fans to max whilst benching. This is noisy but helps keep the card from down clocking should it reach 70C

So I've managed to get to here now...

Cpu @ 3.8Ghz (this may be holding back the score a bit especially on the CPU tests for the overall score)

GTX 670 @ +132 core 1047core/1215boost +301mem (3306/6612)

Will need to see how to unlock the voltage on the card as Afterburner and Precision X don't seem to be having an effect and this seems to be as stable as it will go at present.

Im pleased with this one as I have been trying for 6 months to get the better of an American guy on the 3dmark11 boards with a similar setup to me and have just managed it by a few points.

Nice one Kaap. Great scaling across 4 GPUs as well :)

Hey I made the gfx list:) I'm just shy 200 something points to make single gpu 3dmark11 top 50. With a little tweak I could make it.

Get it done. I don't want to see any 680 users dragging their heals :p

Well done Kapp nice score

Awesome sauce score mate - top stuff :)

Thanks guys

What made the difference last night was something you recommend when ocing GTX 680s.

In the past running the fans at 100% would cause my rig to crash, it was better to leave the fans on auto. Having swapped my cards around I thought I would try again with the fans at 100% and bingo it worked.

Thanks Gregster.:D

Glad I had some good advice :) It used to wind me up with the EVGA in SLI. The fps would be soaring and I could see the temp touching 70C and knowing I was about to start losing score (very minimal but enough to make a difference).

Errr this is weird. Just spent the afternoon swaping out my Akasa Venom air cooler for a Corsair H100. Just running the 3D Mark benchmark to check everything is OK and my graphics scores are significantly lower.

P14670
G18101
P10316

Running at the same clocks as for my original scores below. As you can see CPU is within margin of error but graphics is down 7%. GPU's are in the same slots as before, same crossfire bridge, same crossfire connectors on cards. Temps are fine. Only difference is my PC is connected to a single TFT as opposed to my seperate tripple screen rig. Surely this won't make a difference, would it? Much obbliged for any suggestions, I guess testing each GPU seperately would be a starting point?

Hi, just dropping by to add in some results for my modestly overclocked 7970's

i7 3820@ 4.3, 2x7970's @ 1100 GPU, 1500 Mem 12.11 beta 4 drivers

Edit: OK, my newer card benches better than my original and with them swapped around (so newer card is primary) and back in crossfire benchmark is back to what it was before  Swapped them back and score droped again.

Original card: P9820, G9846, P10503, C8789
Newer card: P10446, G10687, P10566, C8813

Computers, don't you just love 'em!
