**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

You will easy and under water, you can be a little more frivolous with volts. All I wanted was 13K and done that easy after putting my comp with water.

Benching early yesterday morning, I had the door open and side off my case and the GPU's were 17C before stressing and max they got to was 40c ish. I am tempted to buy a chiller for the summer but noise is the biggest put off.

I have my trusty 12k btu ducted portable AC unit that I can direct at the rad and into the case for super chilly temps, but I need dem voltages man :p

More and more people having a much higher graphics score than me at lower clocks :( this is getting depressing.

No mate, it isn't. That is a very mild overclock on that CPU. I bet all the money I have (68p) that there are more then 12 scores higher with similar systems.

Well stupid 3dmark11 says I am for "systems the same as mine" eg 950 cpus with a 7970.

I reckon there wont be too many as most serious overlockers will have upgraded from a 950 before they even got a 7970

That's what i was thinking and with 12.11 you pretty much gain 1000 points on the people that ran it before its release.
 
And another thing, I am no 1 top 950 on this forum on this thread with my score so not that unbeleivable about the top 13 in the world thing :P

Jsut checked and the top 950 score with a 7970 is only P11644

And that was at 1260/1730 on the card and a measly 4.48Ghz on the cpu.

Like I said, there won't be many i7 950/7970 combos submitted on 3dmark11 hence easy to come high up.
 
Think I'll be getting in on the hwbot scene too :)

Just about to head over to CS to see if its possible at all to pay up the extra to have my Lightning replaced with a BE. 1150mhz, stock volts, yes please :D
