**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Awesome score Newhit :) and Welcome back.

Cheers Mr G.

Got an update.............

Had to get my 3930 to 5.4 on my SS (ram at 2400/T1) but I broke 28K.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7748562

EVGA Ti Classys at +300 and +700 (on AB beta 17 @ 300%)

Pwr got up to 155% but, again, temps never got above 38C.........seems the EK blox are working as advertised.

I don't think the Hynix ram has much more in it but others may find differently.

Over 19K per GPU is awesome. Nice going :)

Highly doubt they'll hit that high without disabling tess.

Edit: Or are they? Im very unsure about this hahah

Sadly, there is people who do use tessellation hacks. The problem is, it is allowed on HWBot. I feel apart from stopping certain services in task manager and doing the usual Aero things, it should be left as it is.

Hitting 22k GS with a 290x isnt really impressive if you disable tessellation i think ...

I do agree. I wouldn't mind if we all sang from the same sheet and done the same tweaks but for me, it is far to complicated for the everyday man to do and would rather someone turns on their computer and fires up any of the bench tests and then copy and paste the link in here and that is a fair submission.

Yeah no point doing it if you're gonna cheat. I didn't realise HWbot allows that sort of thing tbh, surprised they do.

As for 3DMark, its impossible to cheat with AMD cards and Tessellation settings. No idea if its possible for Nvidia cards or not.

Benchmark tessellation load modified by AMD Catalyst driver, result invalid.

This message can appear only with 3DMark 11 results from systems using ATI/AMD video cards. It appears when the benchmark run was done with non-default Tessellation Controls in AMD Catalyst control panel, modifying the tessellation workloads and invalidating the result for benchmark comparison purposes.

By default, AMD Catalyst control panel is set to “AMD Optimized”, tessellation is unmodified unless a specific application is detected. 3DMark 11 will not trigger a modified tessellation profile as doing so would be against Futuremark driver approval policy. This is the approved method for benchmarking ATI/AMD DirectX11 video cards with 3DMark 11, any other setting of Tessellation Controls will invalidate the result.

To correct this error, return Tessellation Controls to default in AMD Catalyst control panel and re-run benchmark.

Unable to verify AMD Catalyst tessellation setting, result invalid

This message can appear only with 3DMark 11 results from systems using ATI/AMD video cards. It appears when the benchmark run was done with too old SystemInfo module and there is no way to verify if AMD Catalyst Tessellation Controls were modified for the benchmark run. Most likely the result is comparable with other scores, but there is unfortunately no way to tell.

This error should appear only with old benchmark results submitted prior to the introduction of Futuremark SystemInfo 4.2. To correct the problem, update SystemInfo module to the latest available and re-run benchmark. Latest SystemInfo installer can be found here.

HWBot allow AMD users to disable tessellation because Nvidia users can modify LOD (Level of detail) which isnt detectable in 3dmark. (Makes it an obvious win for nvidia if the AMD card is running with tessellation on)

Even if you got around it, the scores would quickly be flagged and taken down.
As for nvidia hacks, pretty sure you can use the GPU for Vantage physics?

Edit:

Ok they probably do??
Just checked top score, that's probably why i never seemed to get comparative scores for 3D11 for the bot?

@Tonester.

They allow you to disable tessellation for HWbot. If not it just wouldnt be fair, and yea thats probably why you're not getting comparable scores.

Yeah, honestly didn't know.
It's not until i posted the rules....and actually read them, did i see it's allowed.

No idea how to turn it off, and explains why i needed such high overclocks in comparison :L

I have never had any reason to think that people are messing with tessellation and I do check clocks. Impossible for me to do with Nvidia cards though, as it report 500Mhz for some reason.
