Besides the difference in stock clock I'm not too sure on any major differences between the two, the 'ghz' edition is one of the highest clocked out of the box 7970s available, would be interesting to see what it offers in terms of overclocking.

I just hope it doesn't suffer from coil wine! That's one of my biggest hates. Went for the Gigabyte due to the warranty and the windforce cooler which Iv'e found performs pretty good on my 580.
That would give me Rage. I mostly online game with headphones on but late evenings I like to put the speakers on quietly for some solo gaming...Coil whine in the background would deffo RAAAAAAAAAAGE me![]()
