Yeah so what I know I paid a premium for plats but it's worth it instead of the lottery that is memory, isn't it Ranger. Hows your new ram working out for you? :p

Ivy-e is crap for benching, never said otherwise :D, he knows I know that though he's just a tease

I was warned about my new RAM, i should've listened ;). Buying CL9 2400 Tridents next.

No, it just starts you off at a higher number. The process is the same.

I do agree, but in this case its an invalid argument because if you buy such cards to go on threads like these to post your scores where you compete with silicone lottery cards, there's no way you can score bad relative to others. i can understand HWbot and shooting for WR, but come on... There's no competition (In threads like these)

Which is why i also despise the fact that Gregster puts LN2, phase, chiller, water and air cooling scores in the same chart because they cant be compared. I do understand there would be a lot more work but you cant really compare this and that.

Yes you can, you cannot compete....but you can compare
If you want to compete, then fair enough head over to HWBot and you'll be put into specific leagues where certain types of cooling cannot be used.

What kind of tempretures have you been benching with? I know you're on 'ambient' cooling, but you're also in Norway in the north, so pretty chilly. Cannot remember, but pretty certain you've mentioned how cold it is ;)

Shall we also limit the amount of V to only stock for an even fairer comparison? Or leave that one out of it?

You get good & bad cards regardless of what they are reference or custom, that's where the fine tuning comes in. I must admit though, having the charts set out in different categories according to cooling would be better but more added work for Greg.

You do have a point, but my ambients compared to LN2? Really? lol

The avarage is a LOT higher on cards like 780ti classies or kingpins.

But then again, the ambients. I can get down to -5c ambients on good nights. Giving me a massive advantage, but things will be MORE fair than air vs LN2 like it is now.

It would be interesting to see and a nice idea. But i don't care enough about benching to try and bribe Gregorio. :p

I care enough to sweet talk Gramps-Gregorio. Ive told him my thoughts, not sure how he feels about it though.

I just dont feel its fair as it is at this moment, air coolers are kind of left in the dust.

I can do that and not a bad shout in truth. I am messing about with creating a website for myself at the mo but when I have time, I will split the benching into categories of LN2/Water/Air and see how that goes.

The annoyance will be for lazy people who don't tell me their type of cooling but I am sure when they get ignored, they will add it :)

Should be a few entries of mine to keep you busy ;)
