This is the absolute max I can get from these Lightnings without modded BIOS'... They're poor clockers so potentially degrading them with silly volts is futile...

3770K @4.7
780SLI @1200/1630
WC'd
16485

Odd really as before I went SLI I could get the top card stable at 1280. Now with the 2 card in with a higher ASIC (~70 compared to 67ish) The highest stable core speed is 1200

Scores added chaps :)

Oi :D

Volts on everything and you might :D

I've gone +100mV on the core and 1200MHz is the max stable in SLI. The top card will manage 1280MHz but together - despite the 2nd LTG having a higher ASIC it still wont run any higher... Haven't tried OCing the 2nd card on it's own, too much effort when WC'd and no QDC's :/

As you know, I tried the Skynet BIOS' and RBBY's volt tool but MSI really cocked up with the Lightnings so kind of pointless hammering them for the sake of it. I'd like this pair to last me a while :D

It's hard with two cards and only a 4/8 CPU. You need silly good clockers to offset the difference that extra physics and combined score gives, look at your graphics score. Higher than the bottom two, yet you're sitting pretty @18 :(

Whilst I do like to have a dabble in the benches, so long as I have trouble free gaming at 1440p I don't mind too much. I may have another go at getting my naked ivy past 5GHz though :D

Here's a 290P reference score to aim for.

SCORE
18673 with AMD Radeon R9 290(2x) and CPU information missing
Graphics Score 25556
Physics Score 13573
Combined Score 7602

As Tonester says though Matt, it's likely my measly 4.7OC on 4 cores that's keeping me outside of the top 15...

Certainly if I went for a Skynet BIOS on both cards I could easily smash the Graphics scores. What makes OCing the 3770k a ball ache over the 2500k I could bench @5.4 is that if the ivy doesn't like the volts, it goes into a boot loop which apparently is a common issue. What sort of V would I need at 5GHz if 4.7 takes 1.37v (BIOS setting think it's about 1.315v in CPU-z)

Forget the overall/physics score, focus on the gpu score. That's the one to aim for and beat in my score. ;)

Oh they're your 290's are they? I'm not going to flash again (fnarr)
What CPU is that then?

Yep currently the fastest 290/780 air cooled gpu score on the board. Hoping there will be some 780's out there on air to challenge me, but so far nothing. Cpu is a 2700K Sandy Bridge and soon to either hit retirement or end up on the MM. :p

LOL

Lucky I retired my 780's moons ago or I'd have wasted that score. :p
