I can do better but I did not load the best drivers.
I just thought I would have a quick go after gaming on the PC for about 4 hours, so it is a bit warm.

I do but it is things like Civ5, unfortunately with the CPU doing a lot of number crunching it gets a bit warm in my room.
I suspect the 290Xs don't help either.

Mine will never do 5.0 it is not a very good clocker.

what volts are you using for that on 101BCLK then? You know 4.8 is classed as exceptional by most of the minions on those chips, right? lol. Least on warm water
1.55v for 4.85

blimey i'm at around 1.49-1.5v for that, have you tried the rog panel Kaap?? You can usually run about 50hz more on the gpu tests.

No, 4.8-4.9 is like climbing everest, i can cinebench at 4.9 but that needs about 1.52v which is close to stable but not gonna run that for long.

It varies from CPU to CPU, some work better on the 125 strap and some on the 100 strap.
My 3960X prefers the 125 strap but I think my 4930k prefers the 100 strap.
I have not tried the rog panel yet.

1.25 seems to help a lot of ivye chips at the top end. I can't even get 4.8 stable on 100 strap

I have not tried the rog panel yet.
Try it! First time i had a go it went straight back in the box! But got the hang of it now, i just load up my stable bench cpu test from bios which is around 4.86, up bclk to around 4.92GHz core speed, start bench, change bclk back down in readiness and hit ok as the cpu test is loading, if running high vcore for a bench i also drop the multi and vcore right down after a screenie just to relieve unnecessary stress on the cpu, its a great gadget, well worth getting to know and in all honesty its easy.
Not actually used it on firestrike yet, mainly on Vantage but it netted me a nice handful of points there, tbh i need better ram for firestrike as it dosn't tighten anywhere near the dom plats and my PSC although superb dont have enough capacity as there only 4gb so could do with 2 more sticks but X99 is coming!!
